Mathematical Physics

Alexander Hock

My research area lies in mathematical physics, which is closely related to algebraic geometry, noncommutative geometry, topology, combinatorics, and probability theory in mathematics, as well as string theory, quantum field theory, and gravity in physics. The strength of mathematical physics lies in bridging seemingly unrelated areas within mathematics and physics.

Recently, I have worked on Topological Recursion, which unifies problems in fields such as enumerative geometry, random matrix theory, and knot theory into one universal procedure.
