The common thread of my research is studying totally disconnected locally compact groups acting on discrete structures, like trees or buildings, and possibly considering cohomological invariants, counting problems and growth series associated to these actions. I am also fascinated by local-to-global arguments and simplicity criteria for groups acting on "sufficiently nice" spaces.
